Greetings from the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), the Fulbright Commission in India!
Headquartered in New Delhi with regional offices in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai, USIEF administers Fulbright-Nehru, Fulbright-Kalam, and other Fulbright fellowships for study, research, teaching and professional development in the United States of America. Fulbright Program – the flagship international exchange scholarship program – between the U.S. and 160 countries, is supported by the U.S. Congress and partner governments worldwide. Fulbright-Nehru and Fulbright-Kalam fellowships are jointly funded by the Government of India and the Government of the United States of America.
USIEF has announced its annual competition for the Fulbright-Nehru and other Fulbright Fellowships for Indian citizens for the academic year 2024-2025.
These fellowships are offered in the following fields: Agricultural Sciences; Anthropology; Bioengineering; Chemistry; Computer Science (including, but not limited to, cyber security, digital economy, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data analytics); Earth Sciences; Economics; Education Policy and Planning; Energy Studies; History; Language/Literature/Linguistics; Materials Science (with emphasis on environmental applications); Mathematical Sciences; Neurosciences; Performing Arts; Physics; Political Science (including, but not limited to, International Security and Strategic Studies); Psychology; Public Health (including, but not limited to, pandemic preparedness and comprehensive surveillance (genomic surveillance, sewage surveillance, sero-surveillance)); Public Policy; Sociology; Urban and Regional Planning (with emphasis on smart cities and waste management); Visual Arts; and Women’s and Gender Studies.
The application deadline begins May 17, 2023.

Mentoring Session for Fulbright Fellowships Applicants in New Delhi on April 14, 2023 (9:30 am -1:30 pm)
USIEF is organizing an in-person mentoring session for Fulbright-Nehru and other Fulbright fellowships applicants. This session will provide an opportunity to interact with the USIEF staff, Fulbright Alumni and get tips on preparing a strong application.
